“Not only do I love coffee because of its complex flavors and aromas, but because at the heart of it, it’s part of my culture and childhood.”
Process
For this project I chose the Coffee Fest, where specialty coffee is celebrated.
Inspired by cubism, I went ahead and simplified the human face to create angular characters to fit my narrative and create interesting compositions.
These were the original thumbnails were I explored different approaches. Oddly enough I didn’t end up using any of them, instead opting to go with a cubist-inspired style.
